Role Overview:

 

The Data Governance Project Manager leads the portfolio-wide strategic Program and Project Management initiatives and will participate in leading large-scale, enterprise-wide implementations.

 

A Day in the Life:


The essential functions are: 

  • Manage medium to large data governance projects that involve multiple internal stakeholders or contracted resources. 
  • Create, monitor, and maintain project plans. 
  • Define user and project team member’s roles and responsibilities on each project. 
  • Define user requirements, deliverables, and approvals for each project. 
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of all stakeholders to ensure the system is completed within time and budget guidelines. 
  • Communicate project status to management and project stakeholders.

What You'll Need for Success:

 

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment: 

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE). 
  • Three (3) years of project management experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of project cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, funding, and estimation of resources. 
  • Considerable knowledge and application of project management theories and practices. 
  • Considerable knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools, and approaches to development and implementation. 
  • Considerable problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to lead project team by encouraging and influencing others to perform. 
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.​
  • Familiarity with Data Governance principles and a willingness to obtain DCAM certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
